According to China Metallurgical Group Corporation, on December 25 its subsidiary China 19th Metallurgical Group Co. completed concrete pouring for the new 2,300 cubic meter blast furnace for Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Lingyuan Iron and Steel Co.

Construction work on the 2,300 cubic meter blast furnace project started in mid-November this year with the blast furnace expected to be commissioned in October 2012.

In the current year, Lingyuan Steel has started construction of a 2 million tonnes capacity pelletizing plant and two 1.2 million tonnes capacity converters and related equipment.
