
China Knowledge reported that world famous luxury car maker Bentley Motors Inc sold 623 vehicles in China in the first half of this year, reflecting increase of 66% YoY.
Bentley China sales for 2010 stood at 950 units, accounting for one fourth of its global sales. The auto maker also plans to add five dealers in China this year bringing its dealers in China to 18.
A person familiar with the matter without disclosing the sales volume in China Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC auto sales for the first half of 2011 surged 170%YoY in Asia, adding that Rolls-Royce intends to add three sales dealers in China.
Volkswagen AG Lamborghini unit, an iconic sports car maker based in Italy sold more than 100 vehicles in China in the first five months of 2011, compared with record 206 vehicles sold in the country last year. At present, Lamborghini has 14 dealers in China and the figure is expected to reach 20 units by the end of 2011.
