It is reported that Anhui based Maanshan Steel Hefei Company may speed up their relocation boosted by China Ministry of Industry & Information Technology lately released in a development opinion book.

Earlier in June 2008, Magang has put forward their environmental relocation plan, without any news revealed from then on till recently MIIT pointed the steel mill to speed up the work. It was clearly mentioned that the steel company should promote fine quality and non-ferrous metal base construction, in a support to realize the regional mergers and acquisitions.

As per report, by 2015 Hefei Plans to build a fine-quality steel production and processing base including one 6 million tonnes per year extra-fine special steel project and another 3 million tonnes per year special steel project respectively in Huoqiu and Lujiang areas.
