
China Knowledge reported that Nanchang, the provincial capital of Jiangxi Province, saw its gross domestic product grew 12% YoY to CNY 129.67 billion in the first half of 2012 which accounted for 24% of Jiangxi's total.
Value-added industry output from enterprises with designated size or above of the city rose 15.8% YoY to CNY 43.48 billion. The growth rate was 1.9 percentage points higher than in the corresponding period of 2011.
From January to June 2012, Nanchang's fixed-asset investment jumped 30% YoY to CNY 103.03 billion, while its retail sales of consumer goods grew 19.8% YoY to CNY 54.14 billion.
Nanchang's foreign trade value increased 26.1% YoY to USD 4.44 billion during the six-month period, including USD 3.7 billion from export value up 45.4%YoY.
In the first half of this year, utilized FDI of the city hit USD 1.33 billion reflecting a YoY increase of 15.6%.
