
The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said that China's non manufacturing sector posted slower growth in May 2011, with a drop of the Purchasing Managers Index for the sector.
As a key economic leading indicator, the PMI of non manufacturing sector weakened to 61.9% in May 2011, down 0.6 percentage point from April.
The PMI for non manufacturing sector was 62.5% in April 2011, 60.2% in March 2011, 44.1% in February 2011 and 56.4% in January 2011.
A reading above 50% indicates expansion while below 50% indicates contraction.
