
China Knowledge quoted the local statistics bureau said the gross domestic product in Sichuan Province in Southwest China is expected to increase to more than CNY 2 trillion in 2011.
The bureau said that the province economic growth last year was estimated to be about 5 percentage points higher than the national average in China.
For the first three quarters of 2011, Sichuan reported a 14.7% GDP growth. The province GDP expanded 15.1% in 2010 and 14.5% in 2009.
The province value added industrial output jumped 22.1%YoY in the first 11 months, 8.1 percentage points higher than the national average.
In 2010, the province GDP totaled CNY 1.72 trillion accounting for 4.28% of the country's total.
