China Knowledge quoted according to the latest statistics released by the Sichuan Statistics Bureau that the gross domestic product in Sichuan Province in Southwest China grew 14.5%YoY to CNY 930 billion in the first half of this year.

In the first six months, the value added output of industrial enterprises of the designated size and above jumped 21.6%YoY. The growth rate was 7.3 percentage points higher than the national average and ranked third nationwide.

There was a 19.1% increase in raw coal output during the period, 21.7% increase in electricity output, 37.9% increase in iron ore output, 62.3% increase in the output of soft drinks and 40.5% increase in auto output.

As per report, in the first five months, the province industrial profit soared 48.7%YoY to CNY 62.53 billion.
