According to Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha, Mr Wang Qinghai President of China leading steel company Shougang Group paid a visit to NYK Line on December 1st meeting Mr Yasumi Kudo President Corporate Officer and Mr Hiromitsu Kuramoto, Representative Director, Executive Vice President Corporate Officer and exchanged information and opinions. To further strengthen mutual relationship was agreed between the parties.

NYK Line's business ties with Shougang Group date back to January 2007 when a 16 year long term Contract of Affreightment was concluded between the two companies and NYK commenced to transport Australian iron ore to China. Engaged currently with two COAs, NYK will continue to provide Shougang with high quality transportation services to meet Shougang increasing demand for a stable supply of ferrous raw materials.
