According to data released by Chinese Iron and Steel Association, Nanjing Steel planned to develop new steel plant in Jiangsu province.

It has already entered into mutual cooperation agreement with China Metallurgical Group Corporation to start the construction project.

The new plant will add a continuous casting workshop and the plant is designed to increase annual output of 3.5 million tons accordingly.
The new plant is expected to be completed in September 2012.
