
According to sources from the Energy Department of the region's Development and Reform Commission, the Chinese government has recently approved three power grid projects in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The three projects will involve a total static investment of CNY 1.62 billion, including the construction of a 750-kV power distribution line from Baiyin to east of Yinchuan via the Yellow River, the expansion of a 750-kV transformer station in east Yinchuan and the construction of a 330-kV transformer station in Taiyangshan.
Under the development plan, a total of 248 kilometers of 750-kV and 161 kilometers of 350 kV power distribution lines will be built.
In the first two months of this year, state-owned Ningxia Electric Power Co Ltd of State Grid sold a total of 8.17 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, reflecting a jump of 78.8% YoY.
