The authorities in China's Jilin Province have announced the commissioning of local steel processing company POSCO Tongsteel Steel Processing Co.

The JV company was established on September 2nd 2011 by South Korea based steelmaker POSCO and Chinese steel producer Tonghua Iron and Steel Group. It is located in Huinan Economic Development Zone in Jilin Province.

The company will annually be able to process 80,000 tonnes of hot rolled steel sheets, 60,000 tonnes of cold rolled steel coils and 60,000 tonnes of cold rolled steel sheets, with a total processing capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year.
