POSCO Family in Beijing recently held a tree planning event to promote teambuilding and environmental awareness.

It was a large scale gathering attended by some 150 employees from POSCO China, POSCO E&C, POSCO ICT China, Daewoo International, POSRI and 20 employees from the Beijing Science Technology Park.

Participants spent more than three hours digging and planting 350 trees at Dawangjing Park in Choyang district.

Though the event was held later than regular tree planning events (Arbor Day in China is in March, whereas it's in April in Korea), the weather was ideal for saplings.

Participants said they hope the saplings grow well and add to the park's beauty.

The event is held every year by POSCO subsidiaries in Beijing to raise environmental awareness.
