It is reported that up to March 9th by optimizing the production technology, Pangang Group Panzhihua Steel and Vanadium Co Ltd has upgraded the utilization ratio for its No.3 blast furnace and has yielded total 301,900 tonnes of pig iron.

Meanwhile, PSV many technique standards break the record, signing that the company becomes the global pacemaker in operating 2000 cubic meters large blast furnace for smelting vanadium titano magnetite.

The new constructed No.3 blast furnace is the largest vanadium titano magnetite smelter in China. PSV has studied for a long time on how to improve molten metal vanadium content and has got some achievements. On November 2010, PSV upgraded its vanadium titano magnetite proportion to 65% successfully in a test.
