It is reported that a batch of structure steel for automobile use produced by Panzhihua vanadium hot-rolling plate plant is delivered to users which is a new progress on accelerating development of structure steel with the mill’s structure adjustment.

Demands on structure steel for automobile use climbs up YoY along with the rapid development of automobile industry in China. In response to this, Panzhihua Steel starts making trial test on the structure steel. Moreover, the mill organizes experts to collect demands and requires form users throughout the country, tracking the whole process of their design, producing and test and make technological improvement in accordance with these requires enhancing products’ adaptability.

By the end of 2011, Panzhihua Steel has been capable of producing structure steel of high-grade from 310MPa to 440MPa at an output of over 80,000 tonnes. Also, the mill cultivates cooperative relationship with Dongfeng Automobile, Chang’an Automobile and Wuling Automobile, etc.

In addition, during the progress of high-strength wheel development, Panzhihua Steel sees breakthrough on the difficulty of stamping performance, which further lifts the steel properties. This product passes authentication from automobile industry and hits a yield rate of 100 percent after test. Clients speak high on this structure steel on its strength, yield ratio and elongation ratio.
