China Knowledge reported that SAIC Motor Corp Ltd, Chin No 1 carmaker auto sales rose 11.91% YoY to 355,512 units in June this year.

In the first six months, the group auto sales reached 2.23 million units up by 11.41% YoY.

Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd, a 50-50 joint venture set up with Volkswagen AG sold 636,700 cars from January to June up by 10.37% YoY.

Another JV, Shanghai General Motors Co Ltd which the SAIC Motor established with General Motors sold 671,500 cars in the six month period increasing 9.71%YoY.
