It is reported that Shagang signed a contract with Kingland Group Co Ltd to jointly build a welded steel production base, marking an significant move to extend its stainless steel business.

The joint venture aims to produce large caliber straight seam double sided submerged arc welding steel pipe with an annual output capacity of 120,000 tonnes.

The products will mainly be used in pipelines for the transmission of oil, gas and water.
