It is reported that Mr Wang Renyuan vice governor of Shandong Province, leading a group of officials visited Rizhao a coastal city in Shandong on November 20th and started his survey, contributing to the provincial plan of picking up the construction of Rizhao quality steel production base.

Shandong, boasting its second longest coastline in China, projected to launch its industrial zone along the coastline to fulfill its strategic target of “Blue Economical Zone aiming to make full use of geographical advantages.

Mr Wang emphasized that Rizhao should apply modern manufacturing techniques and advanced cleaning technologies in building the quality steel base and make the base one of the world-class steelmaking enterprises. Meanwhile, Wang encouraged companies to expand their businesses to the upstream and downstream fields of steel industry.

According to the paper, Shandong aims to bring up export oriented and high dependence degree to ports coastal industries picking up the development of equipment manufacturing industry, modern port logistics industry and other producer services.

According to Mr Wang lecture, Rizhao should take whole plan of key infrastructure construction projects to promote the transportation between port inland and port port, preparing for the setting-up of Rizhao coastal industries and international shipping center and logistics center.
