Shandong Province based Chinese steelmaker Shangang Group has announced that in 2011 it produced 23.8 million tonnes of crude steel, 24.9 million tonnes of pig iron and 22.8 million tonnes of finished steel.

Meanwhile, in terms of operating revenue in 2011 Shangang Group ranked 73rd among China's Top 500 enterprises and eighth among domestic iron and steel enterprises.
