According to State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shandong Provincial Government, Shandong Shangang Group has made three achievements in extending downstream industrial chains.

1. It has established strategic relationships with several ship building and machinery and manufacturing enterprises including the newly established Liaocheng Guanzhou Processing and Distribution Company and deep-processing project of cold bending section steel which has been carried out

2. It initiated to establish strategic technology partnerships by setting up the research institution for construction and machinery materials and marine steel products with Sany and AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co Ltd respectively

3. New products were jointly developed by Shangang and its clients in order to advance the product upgrade and transformation. It has signed cooperation agreement with Jinan Heavy Truck Group and Resistant Steel Technology Company was found with Australia SIDALLOY.
