It is reported that Container throughput at China Shanghai port in June increased compared to year ago figures but retreated MoM.

According to figures from Shanghai International Port, the Chinese port moved 2.77 million TEU of boxes in June a 5.7% gain compared to 2.62 million TEU recorded in the same month of 2011. Volumes in June however decreased 2.4% compared to 2.84 millionTEU seen in May this year.

In the first five months of 2012, Shanghai port handled 15.86 million TEU of containers, a 3.6% increase compared to the corresponding period of last year.
