Chinaesteel reported that SG610E high heat input welding steel plate jointly developed by the Shougang Technology Research Institute and Shouqin Company was praised by the China Standardization Committee on Boilers and Pressure Vessels for its better performance in key technologies than materials produced by any other producers at home and abroad, excellent mechanical and welding properties, and the good low temperature tenacity of welding joints.

According to the report, the material is designed to produce crude oil tanks used under tough circumstances in the country’s western and southwestern regions.
