It is reported that Shougang Research Institute of Technology and Qinhuangdao Shouqin Metal Material Co Ltd, two subsidiaries of Shougang Group successfully developed SG610E high heat input plates for oil storage tanks, which passed the check of CSCBPV lately.

As per report, Shougang started the development of SG610E since 2007 then the two subsidiaries were assigned to take the task since March 2008 and finished the trial-production in half a year.

Experts from CSCBPV thought the performances of Shougang made products ware better than the same grade from abroad.

This success would improve Shouqin Metal’s ability in making pressure vessel steel plates, and widen the production range of the steelmaker 4300mm production line.
