
Zhengzhou Baosteel Steel Distribution Co Ltd has ordered a blanking line for automotive blanks from a consortium led by Siemens.
This is the first order of its kind that Siemens has won in China. The project has a volume of several million euros and is scheduled to be completed by February 2012.
The blanking line for Zhengzhou Baosteel reaches a pressing force of 630 tons. Siemens will supply the complete mechanical and electrical equipment for the entry side, including the payoff reel, guillotine shear, washing and leveler machines, looper, and a range of pinch rolls.
The finished panels will be stacked in a two station stacker unit. There will be an additional stacker unit located at the drive side so that metal sheets can be extracted in two directions simultaneously when required.
As leader of the consortium, Siemens will also be responsible for supervision of the installation, commissioning, and starting up the complete line.
The press and stacker units will be supplied by Spanish companies.
