It is reported that Sinopec Corp China leading oil products supplier plans to build more than 100 new gas stations at Chongqing in South Western China before 2015 in a bid to handle a larger local market share.
Sinopec currently owns about 90 stations in Chongqing a region traditionally regarded as PetroChina turf which operates more than 400 gas stations there.
The two oil firms have been attempting to squeeze into each others markets in a bid to grasp more market shares.
Sinopec, meanwhile, has reformed its sales system so as to streamline its operation and compete better against PetroChina.
