The market hot rolled coil spot prices have a strong performance on Monday. The price of carbon steel HRC with 2.75 mm x 1500 mm from Anshan Iron and Steel mill is around CNY 4380 per tonne and the main sizes of 4.5 to 11.5 mm x 1500 mm are between 4250 per tonne to 4290 per tonne.

Until last week, the total stock of HRC was about 1.32 million tonnes in Shanghai market. Although the stock is relatively lower than the same period of last year most buyers still have soft demand. Consequently, it is expected the HRC prices in Shanghai will keep fluctuant in next few weeks.
