
It is reported that small vehicles will be exempt from road tolls across China during official government holidays including Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, International Labor Day as well as other holidays stipulated by the General Office of the State Council each year.
The official website of the Chinese government published a notice yesterday regarding the State Council’s approval of a proposal to exempt small vehicles from tolls on major holidays. State Council approved guidelines submitted by the Ministry of Transport, NDRC, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Supervision and the Office for Redressing Malpractices.
Small vehicles will be exempt from midnight on the first day of holiday; the exemption will end at midnight on the last day of the official holiday.
