As announced by the municipal authorities in Shiyan in the Chinese province of Hubei local steel producers Danfu Steel Co Fuyan Iron and Steel Co and Rongfeng Iron and Steel Co as well as another four local small steel enterprises have come together to establish a new steel corporation.

The registration process for the new steel corporation named Danfu Steel Group has already been completed in Shiyan. It is expected that the new group will have an annual production capacity of 5.9 million tonnes of steel products.
