It is reported that Henan Province based Chinese steel producer Wuyang Iron and Steel Co a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group steel plate exports totalled 180,000 tonnes in 2011 up 10,000 tonnes YoY including exports of alloy structural steel plate, steel plate for low temperature pressure vessel production and wear-resistant steel plate to markets in Europe and the Americas.

In 2011, Wuyang Steel exported over 10,000 tonnes of steel plate for application in offshore platforms. Meanwhile, Wuyang Steel has also increased its steel product exports to emerging markets such as India.
