Tangshan Guzhi's steel capacity has reached 10 million tonnes at present. Plenty of stainless steel, Mn-series strip and non-oriented silicon steel lay a good foundation for the development of equipment manufacturing industry.

Special and quality steel production capacity of the district is expected to reach 2.40 million tonnes from 600,000 tonnes till 2015.
