
Tanzhao Metro Daily reported that that Tangshan government will adopt tougher measures to promote effective implementation of pollution management with local steel producers and will unqualifiedly cut power supply and lend rectification to those which can not meet the standards in due time.
Tangshan, China's well known city for its steelmaking industry, is also a ranked first discharger of atmospheric pollutant.
Local authorities concerned have worked out an implementation plan for steel mills' meeting the standards of the pollution control.
The plan includes six requirements upon local steel enterprises including fulfilling the stack gas desulphurization with their major sintering machines wash out blast furnaces of below 300 cubic meters and supporting facilities, establish emergency respondent solves against absurd environment pollution event. All these must be finished by June 2010.
