It is reported that Tangshan city will make big efforts in promoting the campaigns of energy conservation & emission reduction and backward capacity elimination in 2011.

The city wants to eliminate the 400 cubic meters and smaller blast furnaces and the converters and EAFs of and blow 30 tonnes. To list some projects, there are 300 enterprises that use above 5000 tonnes coal equivalent will follow energy efficiency benchmarking, 156 heavy-polluting enterprises will face strict perusal about the EEB, 69 energy saving and 62 emission reduction projects will be carried.

The city says to reinforce industry admittance and management, strictly control energy-intensive and highly polluting enterprises from growing.
