It is reported that Wuhan, China based WISCO International Economic and Trading Corporation subsidiary of Hubei Province based Chinese state owned steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Corporation has lately signed an agreement with Japan based Marubeni Corporation for bilateral trade cooperation.

Accordingly, in the next two years WISCO International Economic and Trading Corporation and Marubeni Corporation will cooperate further in international trade, including import of iron ore, coal and scrap by WISCO from Marubeni, as well as export of finished steel products to Marubeni.

Japan-based Marubeni Corporation, established in 1858 and currently one of the largest general trading companies in Japan and began doing business with WISCO in 2003. From 2003 to 2008, subsidiaries of Marubeni Corporation purchased a total of 210,000 tonnes of finished steel products from WISCO.
