Wuhan Steel starts to produce U75VG rail steel, in accordance with new standard. As China’s plan on rail construction sees lots of adjustments the mill’s production on heavy rail is in intermittence.

Planned production is cut from tens of thousands tonnes to thousands tonnes. At the end of 2011 heavy rail production starts to apply the new standard to produce U75VG rail steel. Compared with U75V and U71Mn ones, this new standard requires more rigorous on quality and craft process.
