Xixing Special Steel has recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Valin Xigang Special Steel.

Jiangsu-based Xixing Group, with total assets of CNY 3.5 billion, is one of China's top 100 steel mills. It is able to produce 1.15 million tonnes of pig iron, 2.10 million tonnes of crude steel and 1.30 million tonnes of steel products per year. Shagang Group has bought its stake in 2010.

Valin Xigang Special Steel, moving to Jiangsu Taizhou from Wuxi city since May 2009 has a capacity of producing 600,000 tonnes of steel pipe and 500,000 tonnes of alloy bars per year.

Mr Tao Fangguo Chairman of Valin Xigang Special Steel said the company is able to produce 800,000 tonnes of steel pipe and 700,000 tonnes of alloy bars if operating at full capacity.
