It is reported that Yangtze Power has posted a 78.14% YoY rise in 2010 net profit attributable to shareholders to CNY 8.23 billion, with earnings per share of CNY 0.4985. Revenue rose by 98.64% to CNY 21.88 billion.

The company said it consolidated the contributions of 26 generators from the Three Gorges power plant, which were transferred to the company after a major restructuring of assets in September 2009. The company's total assets decreased 2.72% YoY to CNY 157.46 billion through the end of 2010, with total liabilities of CNY 91.3 billion.

Yangtze Power plans to generate 104 trillion watt hour of electricity in 2011, including 88 trillion watt hour from the Three Gorges power plant and 16 trillion watt hour from the Gezhouba power plant.
