In its endeavor to provide access to better Health Care to the communities around its plants, TATA Power, India’s largest Integrated Private Power Company has been working relentlessly in organizing various health camps in Jamshedpur. The Company has started a new initiative, wherein a Homeopathy camp will be organized every month at the Samudayik Vikas Kendra, Chotta Govindpur.
This month the Homeopathy camp was organized on July 22nd 2011 and serviced around 90 patients during the day camp. Further, Dr SS Sagu and Dr A Sagu, two of the most respected and accepted doctors in Jamshedpur treated the patients attending the camp.
During the camp, both the doctors provided consultation to ailments ranging from cold, cough, fever to knee pain and other season diseases and generated a health feedback from the patients. The patients were pleased with the treatment provided to them. TATA Power, Jamshedpur employees accompanied by Mr PL Manjrekar GM of Jojobera Thermal plant also volunteered in organizing and helping the doctors during the camp, thereby making it a tremendous success.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Manjrekar said that “Health care is need of the hour for the people in Chotta Govindpur. So far, people in Chotta Govindpur were seeking access to healthcare facilities available near their village. The monthly homeopathy camp will benefit the people and we expect it will receive good response in the months to come.”
