JSW Steel bags Golden Peacock for CSR for 2008

PTI reported that JSW Steel has bagged Golden Peacock award for 2008 for its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
JSW Steel in a statement said that the Golden Peacock Awards Jury, under the chairmanship of Mr Ola Ullsten former Prime Minister of Sweden and the co-chairmanship of Mr PN Bhagwati former chief justice of India Justice gave the award to JSW in recognition of the company's works and efforts for CSR initiatives. The award was conferred at Vilamoura in Portugal last month.
It said that the CSR inactivates of the steel major are undertaken through JSW Foundation. JSW Steel, part of USD 8 billion OP Jindal Group has the largest galvanizing production capacity in India.
