Description :  Unlike CIF, CIP covers any mode of transport including multimodal transport. The seller has all the obligations which a seller would have under CPT, but must also obtain cargo insurance against the buyer's risk of loss of, or damage to, the goods during the carriage. The seller arranges for insurance and pays the insurance premium.
