2 killed in explosion at steel factory in Nalgonda district

PTI reported that 2 workers were killed and eight others sustained burn injuries in a boiler explosion at a steel factory in Nalgonda district.

The incident occurred at Nimaragondla village around 7.45 AM when the boiler suddenly exploded after catching fire apparently due to gas leakage in the production unit.

Mr Surendra, an operator, died on the spot while another worker identified as Mr Balarama breath his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Eight other workers who suffered burn injuries after the explosion were shifted to a private hospital at Chandrayangutta in Hyderabad.

All the victims hail from Bihar''s Nawada district.

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known.

Bibinagar police is investigating the case.
