Adhunik group to have another power plant

Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Limited, a unit of Adhunik Group, will set up one Super Thermal Power plant in Jharkhand following the completion of the first project of 4 x 270 MW power plant at Padampur in Saraikela-Kharswan district.

Mr Naresh Goyal senior VP and plant head in Jharkhand told newsmen that "The proposal has been submitted to Jharkhand government about eight months ago. We are looking forward to sign a MoU."

He said the company has been searching for land in the state as the setting up of the plant in the ongoing project is not possible owing to non availability of land.

Mr Goyal said APNRL has proposal to enhance its capacity and plan to set up an additional over 1000 MW (2x660 MW) plant after the completion of the ongoing project of 4x270 MW (total 1080 MW) plant in Padampur in Kandra, about 25 kms from here.

Referring the ongoing project, he said the first unit of the ongoing project will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2012 and work was going on fast track to meet the deadline.

Mr Goyal said that the first unit of 4x270 MW plant will be commissioned in time may be one month here and there while the second unit was expected to be commissioned in the second quarter of the same year.
