Alstom Grid, a leader in power generation and transmission, said that its solutions group in the UAE has been awarded ISO certification for its integrated management systems, thus ensuring customer satisfaction, safety and environmental excellence.

The IMS Certification award covers three essential management standards for quality management system for environmental management system and occupational health and safety management system, said a company statement.

To mark this milestone, a handover ceremony was held recently in Dubai in the presence of Mr Gilles Picot, Group Solutions director at Alstom Grid in UAE and representatives from Bureau Veritas, the official certifying body, with Mr Farhan Ahmed, certification manager and Usman Haider, lead auditor.

Alstom Grid’s Solutions teams design, engineer, supply, install, test and commission full turnkey high voltage substations. With its regional headquarters based in Dubai, Alstom Grid is close to its customers in one of the most dynamic transmission system markets, said a senior official.

The High Voltage substations awarded by Alstom Grid customers such as utilities (Transco, DEWA, FEWA, SEWA) and industries (Takreer, Dubal) are often large and complex projects, requiring long lasting expertise and a certified quality.
