Ambuja Cements' June quarter net profit grew tad higher than expected by 35% year on year to INR 469 crore on improved realisations. Net sales rose by 18% to INR 2,566 crore,YoY on better volumes which was also up 7%.

Analysts on an average had expected net profit at INR 460 crore and net sales of INR 2,521 crore in the quarter.
