PTI reported that Ambuja Cements Limited's shipments in September 2011 rose by 2.3% YoY to 1.55 million tonnes.

The company, in which Swiss cement maker Holcim holds about 46%, said that production in September fell to 1.46 million tonnes from 1.48 million tonnes a year earlier.
