Mr AP Choudhary CMD of RINL called on chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy at secretariat of Hyderabad.
RINL briefed the chief minister about the plant’s performance, its growth plan and future expansion program. The CMD requested the CM to consider allotment of iron ore mines to RINL to firm up its future growth plans. VSP is currently on an ambitious massive expansion to double its capacity to 6.3 million tonne per annum and it has ready started the integrated commissioning and ready to roll out production from new expansion units by the end of the current fiscal.
The CMD informed chief minister that RINL is already in the process of obtaining the clearance for the next phase of expansion to 11 million tonne per annum to 12 million tonne per annum and the early sanction of the proposal hinges on allotment of good iron ore mines to RINL. The CMD expressed that the expansion would generate enormous direct and indirect employment and would contribute significantly to the growth of the State. The CMD emphasized that early allotment of mines would facilitate faster implementation of the investment plans.
The CM assured all necessary and possible help from the government to RINL especially in the early allotment of captive iron ore mines for continuous growth of not only the Organisation but also the region’s development.
It is learnt that the state government is seriously considering allotment of good iron ore mines and RINL would be allotted earlier than anticipated.
