
Business Standard reported that BHEL has bagged INR 1,000 crore contracts for supplying equipment to a hydro power project in Bhutan.
BHEL has secured INR 1,016 crore contract from Punatsangchhu Hydroelectric Project Authority, Bhutan for the electro mechanical equipment package for 1,200 MW hydroelectric project.
It said that the order envisages manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the electro mechanical equipment for the 1,200 MW Punatsangchhu I Hydroelectric project.
Meanwhile, the project is being set up under a bilateral agreement between the Government of India and the Royal Government of Bhutan.
