ET reported that Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd has bagged an order worth INR 2500 crore to INR 3000 crore from Singareni Collieries.

Singareni Collieries Company Ltd, a state owned mining company, on September 12th approved the order to supply two 600 MW boiler turbine generators. BHEL will soon release an official confirmation of the order.

BHEL has reported a total order inflow of INR 60,476 crore for FY2011 (up 2.4% YoY), finishing the year with a total order backlog of INR 164,130 crore. For the last quarter the company was only able to declare an order inflow of INR 4000 crore to INR 5000 crore and hence an additional order worth INR 3000 crore would boost investor sentiment.
