Posting a growth of 7.5%, Bharati Shipyard's net profit climbed to INR 38.2 crore for the quarter ended March 31st 2011. In comparison, the company had registered a profit of INR 35.6 crore during the same period of 2009-10.

Its net income grew by 6.9% to touch INR 346.6 crore during the January to March 2011 quarter as compared to INR 324.2 crore during the corresponding quarter of FY 2010.

It elucidated that revenues from ship manufacturing jumped by 25.6% to touch INR 440.3 crore during the quarter, as against INR 350.6 crore posted in FY 2010.
