Projects Today reported that Nabha Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Punjab State Electricity Board has invited proposals from potential firms for setting up a coal based power project at a contracted capacity of 1,200 MW+10% at Nalash near Rajpura in Patiala district of Punjab on BOO basis.

As per report, the project is likely to be awarded to a developer selected on the basis of tariff based competitive bidding as per Government of India's guidelines. The last date of submission for RfPs and RfQs is August 31st 2009. RfP documents of only those bidders will be opened who will be first qualify at RfQ stage.
