
PTI reported that Bihar government has asked the Centre to clear the pending proposals for providing coal linkages to the various thermal power projects in the state.
The coal linkage for the eight thermal power projects in Bihar is pending and the applications with requisite fees have been sent to the Coal Ministry adding the power ministry may take up the matter with the coal ministry.
The state government is awaiting coal linkages for numerous power plants in the state, including the ones in Barauni, Buxar, Nabinagar and Bhagalpur.
It has also asked the power ministry to enhance allocation of power from central sector by at least 300 MW from the present allocation of 1554 MW.
