Auto component maker Bosch is planning to invest INR 1 billion to ramp up capacity at Jaipur plant, the company’s only V E distributor pump manufacturing facility in the country.

It is part of the INR 20 billion investment that the company has lined up for the next two years.

Mr Ashok Abraham head of Bosch Jaipur facility said that the fresh infusion will help the company scale up its production capacity of 1800 pumps per day to over 2000 pumps per day.

He said that “We are not able to meet the rising demand of distributor pumps. We have to source these pumps from our other such facilities in Brazil, Germany, China and Japan. After ramping up, we would be able to add 75,000 pumps every year.”
